Blackwater Days 2000
Shaun Tan's wonderful and intriguing cover for this award-winning linked collection. The central image (and book's frontispiece) is the 1996 Shaun Tan painting 'Blackwater' which inspired the whole cycle of stories. Both the collection and the story 'The Saltimbanques' were nominated for the World Fantasy Award in 2001.
